Dear Parents / Guardians / Students: We hope you’ve had a great summer and that you are looking forward to returning to school soon. Here are some important updates from our team with respect to 2026-2027 school year start up and timetables.

Based on new Ministry of Education policy, Limestone District School Board is introducing changes to assessment and evaluation practices in secondary schools beginning this school year.

Dear Families, Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! We are excited to welcome new and returning students to Limestone. On Wednesday, our schools and classrooms will once again be filled with students, staff, and families as we begin a new year of learning together.

The Limestone District School Board is seeking community members with strong financial expertise and business acumen to serve as external members of its Audit Committee for a three‑year term beginning September 2026.

Gr. 9 Orientation – Wednesday, August 26th (9:30 a.m. – Noon) Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Main Gym (student leaders will be at the entrances to gather students as they arrive), where they will receive a start-up package (updated schedule, and handouts). At 10:00 a.m.

In August 2026, four Limestone District School Board students will represent the Canadian Ice Stock Federation (CISF) at the U16 European Stock Sport Championships in Oberwart, Austria.

Dear Families, As we move towards the last week of the 2025-2026 school year, I want to share a few important updates and reminders as we wrap up the year and begin looking ahead to September.

At its regular meeting on June 17, 2026, the Limestone District School Board of Trustees approved a $340.5 million budget for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a deficit budget balanced through the use of reserve funds.
