  • Hey Sydenham! What are you doing next Thursday after school? Clear your schedule and get yourself down to Nixon Field at Queen’s to cheer on your Junior Girls Rugby team as they compete in the KASSAA finals at 5 pm! Yesterday, the girls came from behind to tie the match and eventually pulled ahead as they punched their ticket to the finals. Hard work on defence was the name of the day as the girls made tackle after tackle to prevent Frontenac from pulling off the three-peat as Junior Champions. Abbey Eamer started the scoring, and Chelsea Hooper added two tries as your Golden Eagles came out on top 17-12. Mary Garagaro made DOZENS of tackles and jackaled the ball time and time again as she took home the player of the match. Stay tuned for more details on how you can come and cheer on the Senior Girls Rugby team as they play in EOSSAA here at Sydenham on Monday!
