Virtual School
Students already in Virtual School should be ready to go at 10 AM on January 04th.
Pivot to Online Learning
On January 04th, throughout the day, teachers will post instructions for the move to online for students who were attending in-person classes in December. Please check your limestone email and log into your online course – either D2L or Google Classroom. Both platforms are available through Minds Online from the school website – Quick Links.
It will be necessary for all students to engage with this learning daily during this provincial lockdown. The learning will continue in your octo-4 course, and your teacher will take daily attendance looking for student engagement in course work. The learning will begin at 10 AM each day, and teachers will be available throughout the school day. Teachers will communicate the schedule for your class and share when certain types of activities occur.

Device Distribution on January 4, 2021
Happy New Year!
Sydenham High School will begin distributing devices to support our students learning from home on Monday, January 4th, from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Consistent with public health protocols, we will be doing a contactless, curbside pick-up. There will be no entry to the building.
On arrival, please park along the front of the building on Rutledge Road. If this area is full, please park in the staff parking lot across Rutledge Road until a space in front of the school becomes available. Text the first and last names of the SHS student and the colour and model of your vehicle to 613-532-3350. Please unlock a rear door or trunk so we can place the item in your vehicle while maintaining physical distance. A sign with your student’s first and last names in large letters may help us locate your vehicle more quickly. This curbside plan is subject to weather conditions, so please confirm instructions via text on arrival.
Our goal is to have devices distributed to students as quickly as possible.

Access to Internet
We are waiting on details for families that need access to the Internet for remote learning. Families contacted by Sandra Sands before the break do not need to contact us - your information was sent to LDSB the week of Dec.18. More information to follow. Check back for updates.
