JUNE, 2015

GRADUATION V.I.P. TICKET RAFFLE!

We will be raffling off a group of 4 seats, front and centre, right behind presenters for this year's grad. No need to arrive early. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 and can be purchased in Student Services until the end of lunch on June 12th, 2015.

If the weather permits, the 2015 commencement celebration will be held at the field again this year!
This year the ceremony has been moved to 1:00pm. This is for a few reasons: we are having to rent our stage this year, along with our chairs and they will not be picked up in the evening. Also, many grads felt the later time cut into their celebrations with family. We sincerely hope this is not too much of an inconvenience.

A few notes:
  • It will likely be quite hot. Dress appropriately and wear a hat, sunscreen etc.
  • Seems like a buggy year, so bug spray might be needed
  • Since it is on the field, we recommend no heels just to make your walking easier
  • Some parking at the point is reserved for dignitaries and award preseters only but there will be some spots available.
  • Family, friends and students should park at SHS or in the Village
  • Please consider dropping off anyone who may need it at The Point before parking.
  • If you are a graduate, dress lightly as the robes are warm.
  • Some additional 2015 graduation caps will be available for purchase at the celebration for 5$.
  • Graduates will meet in the cafeteria to get gowned and marshaled down to the point.
  • If it is suppose to rain, graduation will once again be in the gym. Again, it can be quite hot.
  • Also, in the gym, seating is somewhat limited. Please consider every graduate when blocking off a large amount of seats.
MAY 2015

Graduation packages were distributed to all grads at the graduation assembly last week. Grad fees ($40 - $20 to be returned when gown and V-stole are returned), and other forms are due May 21st, 2015 to Mrs. Goldring. If you did not receive your package please see Mrs. Goldring A.S.A.P.
