SHS Recognizes Rainbow Week
During the week of May 14, SHS recognizes Rainbow Week in education. On May 17th, International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, folk-singer, performer, and educator Kate Reid, will perform a selection of her original songs that focus on themes of social justice, gender and sexual identity, personal growth and self-discovery, at a school-wide assembly.

Members of our school community, our students, parents/caregivers, and staff identify as members of the Rainbow (or LGBTQ+) community. We will fly the Pride flag, along with the Canadian flag, demonstrating our commitment to supporting all of our students, staff, parents, caregivers and community members.

Monday - Rainbow Ribbons available at lunch
Tuesday - Beat the Band at lunch (Rainbow Arch)
Wednesday - Rainbow Cookies for sale and Photo Booth at lunch
